The Town of Telč

Telč is a town situated to the south of Jihlava that belongs to the Highland region. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. The Renaissance monuments of Telč attract thousands of tourists every year. The main lure is castle of Telč, one of the gems of Moravian Renaissance architecture. Its attractiveness is enhanced by the very sensitive approach to the heritage, so the original interiors have been preserved in very good condition.

Equally important is a square located in the historic center of the city. The square is among the most valuable urban monuments of Moravia. It consists of 71 homes, built before 1530. Typical appearance of the square creates the arcade, which skirts the perimeter of the square.
